2011 Christmas Designs

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful festive season with lots of laughter and fun with friends and family.

I know it's been awhile coming, but I finally have some pics to show you what I was working on over the last few months of 2011. I had the the opportunity to work on several corporate Christmas card designs -  I love creating corporate Christmas cards and this year was no exception. Not only did I get to work on some very fun designs, I got to play around with different card stocks and embellishments as all of my clients wanted cards with a difference. Rhinestones were a hit this year, as was a lovely linen card stock, which added a nice textural element to the cards.

Most unique was the design I created for Jen at Bells N Whistles who had the wonderful idea of having her cards printed on wood! After we had reached a concept that she was happy with, she sent the design to the USA to have them printed. The result was a lovely card with that’s both unique and eco-friendly, and looks fantastic!

Interestingly, all the cards I created centred around companies with blue logos, which lent themselves nicely to pretty winter themes. I took advantage of this and designed cards with palettes of purple, navy and ice blue, sometimes with a little pink or red thrown in to add a little warmth.

I can’t believe what a whirlwind month December was and that Christmas is already over. I have to say though, despite the fast pace of it all, I’m really looking forward to next year’s festive season and many more designs!

xx
