Goodness it's been a long time since I've had a chance to blog! As you can probably tell, it's been crazy here lately, but things are starting to wind down as we approach Christmas (can you believe it's only 4 days away?), which means I've finally had time to take some photos of my recent projects. This little project has to be one of my faves so far - partly because I got to work with the fabulous Jennie from Merci Bouquet again and partly because her design brief was so darn sweet! Jennie was looking for a more upmarket way to promote her business and wanted to have some cards made that would be boutique but with a lot of rustic, natural charm. This was great as it really sums up Jennie's business in a nutshell - if you walk into her Epping florist you'll see what I mean. From floor to ceiling her gorgeous store is laden with stunning, boutique floral arrangements and charming products with a rustic feel - a feast for the eyes! Armed with this request, I created a design around kraft paper and burlap ribbon, using paper with wonderful laid texture to add to that natural look. This ended up being a very hands-on project, as I worked my way through tying 500 burlap bows, plus layering each printed piece onto kraft backing, but it was well worth the effort. As always, it was fantastic working with you Jennie!
